You deserve more.
More than you’ve gotten.
More than your trauma conditioning has programmed you to believe.
More than you might feel is okay.
You deserve more in relationships.
You deserve more opportunities at work.
You deserve more of an identity than the people you grew up with could wrap their heads around.
You deserve more time and space— to exist, to breathe, to be.
You deserve more empathy.
You deserve more chances.
You deserve more accountability.
You deserve more support.
Trauma Brain is going to try to tell you you don’t deserve more— but this has absolutely nothing to do with whether you actually do.
You do. Deserve more, that is.
We don’t always get what we deserve. Many of the people reading this have been screwed, again and again, in getting what they actually deserve.
But that’s not a “you” issue.
That wasn’t because you’re unworthy. Or “not trying hard enough.” Or, or, or.
You deserve more.
How do I know? I may not know you personally.
But literally every trauma survivor I’ve ever worked with has absolutely deserved more.
I’m willing to bet you’re not the exception.
You deserve more.
Repeat it. Let it sink into your bones.
Don’t let your conditioning block it.
You deserve more than you were ever allowed to believe. More than it was ever safe to believe.
You deserve more.
